Imprint Shadow Ladies

A series of illustrations made for the book ‘Give a Type a Face’ by Elena Gonzalez, in which various artists gave their interpretations of what a certain typeface would look like if it were a person – my font was Imprint MT Shadow. Designed as a text face for a magazine of the same name in 1912, Imprint is an elegant & functional serif typeface, which works well in large blocks of text. Imprint MT Shadow, on the other hand, is more like Imprint’s ‘little sister’ – it has an inner streak gives the letters a decorative and ‘playful’ character.
